Sale and Sharing of Personal Information

California law defines "sale" and "sharing" broadly.

A sale may include providing personal information to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration.

Sharing includes providing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Certain online advertising or analytics activities may be considered sharing under California law.

Certain transfers of information to independent third parties may be considered a sale if the transfer is made for monetary or other valuable consideration and does not qualify for an applicable legal exception.

California residents may exercise the right to opt out through our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.

We do not sell sensitive personal information.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

Sensitive Personal Information

Smart Loan Aid does not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes of inferring characteristics about California consumers in a manner that requires a separate limitation right under the CCPA.

If our practices change in a way that creates such a right, we will provide the legally required method for exercising it.

Your California Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable exceptions, California residents may have the following rights.

Right to Know and Access

You may request information about:

● Categories of personal information collected
● Categories of sources
● Business or commercial purposes for collection
● Categories of third parties to whom information is disclosed
● Categories of information sold or shared
● Specific pieces of personal information maintained about you

You may direct Smart Loan Aid not to sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

You may exercise this right through our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.

Right to Limit Certain Uses of Sensitive Personal Information

Where applicable, California residents may have the right to limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information.

Right to Nondiscrimination

You have the right to exercise your California privacy rights without unlawful discrimination or retaliation.

We will not unlawfully deny services, charge different prices, provide a different level of service, or retaliate against you solely because you exercised a privacy right.

Verification may include matching information you provide with information we already maintain or confirming control of an email address or telephone number associated with your information.

We will request only information reasonably necessary to verify and process the request.

We do not require identity verification merely to process a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a California privacy request on your behalf where permitted by law.

We may request reasonable evidence of the agent's authority and may verify your identity where permitted.

Global Privacy Control

Where required by California law, Smart Loan Aid recognizes qualifying Global Privacy Control signals as requests to opt out of applicable sale or sharing.

A Global Privacy Control signal may initially apply to the browser or device transmitting the signal.

Where legally required and reasonably possible, we may associate the preference with other information connected to you.

Response Timing

We respond to California privacy requests within the time periods required by applicable law.

Requests to access, know, correct, or delete personal information are generally processed within 45 days after receipt, subject to any legally permitted extension.

Requests to opt out of sale or sharing are processed as soon as reasonably possible and within applicable legal requirements.

Opting Back In

If you have opted out of sale or sharing, we will not treat later interactions as consent to resume those activities unless you affirmatively choose to opt back in where required by law.

Children

Our services are intended for individuals who are at least 18 years old.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.

Financial Information Subject to Other Laws
